To effortlessly press any pieced or embroidered block, use this high-quality 100% felted wool mat. It's designed to focus heat onto the seams and stitches, providing dual-sided pressing. Plus, the wool's unique texture prevents fabric from shifting and distorting while pressing. For optimal results, use a dry iron and press embroidered blocks on the wrong side to protect the stitches and design. After use, simply hang the mat to air-dry if it feels damp. To clean, rinse with cold water and hang to dry. Avoid using starch on damp fabric as it can stain the mat. This versatile mat can be used on surfaces such as Formica, Corian, stone, and metal (ironing board), but avoid wood and painted surfaces. Don't place the mat on a rotary cutting mat when pressing, as the heat can warp it.
