The story behind Inspired...
I have had the opportunity to learn from so many talented - gifted - designers over the past two decades. When I stop to think about all who have inspired me, the concept for Inspired came to mind... I wanted to bring all of that inspiration and experience together in one design.
Like many of you, I love color - all color - and how color plays so beautifully against black & white. The fabrics from the Kaffe Fassett Collective - Kaffe, Brandon and Phillip - are breathtaking on so many levels... color, texture movement.
Then there is the whimsy and playful nature of Kim McLean's applique style that just makes me smile...a lot. Her Lollipop Trees design changed everything for me and the rest, as they say, is history.
Then add my absolute love of paper piecing, using the Quiltworx method, is simply my Zen place for creating exquisite precision. This design pays homage to those designers... all who have inspired me profoundly along my journey, and I hope this will inspire you too.
The pattern designed for the intermediate quilter will teach you machine applique, paper piecing and traditional block piecing using the techniques Caroline has learned over the last two decades. The pattern includes a schematic to help you decide on color, paste up sheet for your fabrics, full template for your center block, as well as step by step instructions. Inspired finishes approximately 70" x 77"
