There's no sewing during the workshop, just pure inspiration and learning.
Diamond workshop is based on the Contrast Diamonds quilt pattern in Kaffe Fassett’s book, Quilts in London. This is a class suitable for beginners who already know how to sew a seam and how to use a rotary cutter. It is also for more advanced quilters who wish to concentrate on complex colour development.
SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS
• Quilts in London book(free with lecture admission)
• Rotary cutter with NEW blade
• Cutting mat - at least 12” x 18”
• Ruler - 6” x 24” with 60 angle marked line
• Kaffe Fassett flannel design wall – 2 yards (included your workshop fee)
• Fabric scissors
• Pencil
• Pins
• Optional: reducing glass or peephole
On the day of the workshop, Kaffe & Brandon will be able to assist you in selecting colours and patterns to use in your quilt.
BEFORE THE CLASS
MAIN FABRICS
Bring at least 1⁄2yd pieces of 20 different medium to large scale prints that are harmonious together. They might be all light and dark or mostly a color palette
you prefer such as blues, or reds. The prints you choose should be similar in tone and pattern but most important should be large scale. If not sure, bring some extras and be prepared to shop during the workshop.
For example: All reds from magenta to tomato. The prints can be multicolored as long as they are mostly in your preferred color.
Fabrics not suitable for this workshop include small textured prints and precut packs.
NOTE: Please feel free to bring any fabrics that you would like to use in the class - these do not have to be Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics.
Please do not cut fabrics before class.

Fee: $425 includes lunch, 2 yds of flannel design fabric, Kaffe Fassett Reducing Glass and a priceless amount of fun and an amazing experience.
