Both versions have a dramatic oversized collar, a substantial front crossover so the jacket will give you coverage without any closures, and dropped sleeves for a relaxed look. It’s a versatile topper that complements many outfits. Choose lightweight linen, canvas, or denim for a fun, breezy spring and summer jacket, then sew it again using a heavier wool coating for a cozy version that will carry you through fall and winter. This jacket is intentionally oversized. For a more fitted jacket you might want to sew one size smaller.
